About EFFL

Founded in 2019 in order to bring the fun of football without the worry of concussions to the kids of Elizabethtown, KY and surrounding area.  Our goals are to:

To teach the recreational game of flag football to the youth of our community and to educate both youth and parents about the rules of the game.

To provide flag football games among its members and, when appropriate, members of other similarly constituted organizations for the benefit, enjoyment, instruction, and wellbeing of its members.

To forward and develop those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, discipline, team play, and self-reliance which are the essentials of good sportsmanship.

To operate a youth athletic league to help in developing the character of the youth of our community and to reach out to children at risk and disadvantaged youth by providing a positive experience through flag football.

To foster and engage in competition and to instill a sense of fairness and sportsmanship.

To promote the social welfare of the Hardin County area by instructing the youth participating in the programs of this LEAGUE to better themselves physically, morally, and civically, thereby making them better citizens and aiding the community in combating juvenile delinquency.

To serve a positive role in the community by encouraging community service by its members.

To promote the development of football skills and tactical awareness for all players through the provision of training and education by trained coaches, and through the recognition that each player has unique needs based on their developmental level and ability.
